Journalism Half Award Hourly Paid Lecture (temporary contract)
The Department of Culture, Media and Drama is looking for a suitably qualified person to teach one weekly 2 hour practical journalism writing workshop for first year journalism students from January 25 –May 21 covering the Semester 2 academic teaching block.

Please send an email with your CV and a letter of application attached. The letter should be no longer than 2 pages long and should explain why you are eligible to undertake the role, and how your previous experience will enable you to meet the requirements of the post.

Interviews will be held in the same week and short-listed candidates notified by email by Wednesday 13th January. The interview panel will include 2 members of the Journalism Practice teaching team and HoD or Deputy.
Role specification
To teach and provide practical advice and assistance to first year undergraduates embarking on a course involving investigative journalism, interviewing. Feature writing and on-line journalism.
Eligibility
Applications for this post are sought from experienced journalists preferably with teaching experience at Higher Education level. They must be able to work to a brief and as part of a team.
